Follow Friday #16

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read!

Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardbook, eBooks, or paperback?
Hardback and paperback books will always have my heart. Ebooks are extremely convenient and I read a lot of them, but nothing will ever compared to holding an actual book in my hands. The smell, the feel of the pages, the tear stains (don't judge me...), the dog-eared corners, and then that satisfying feeling you get when your turn that last page of a MONSTROUS book and you feel uber-accomplished!

Not to mention the fact that our (EPIC!) libraries would cease to exist without the help of hardback & paperback books. So then we wouldn't get "flabbergasted" when books would begin to pile up and we'd have "no clue how it happened" *double side eye...*

Leave a link to your post in the comments and I'll be sure to stop by and follow!

  1. I completely agree with you, ebooks are much more convenient, but still prefer holding actual books :)

  5. Ahh, you're so right about finishing a long book, and the feeling you get on that last page. That's totally gone in ebooks! And oftentimes the ending totally sneaks up on you!

  6. I can't imagine a life world without libraries! That is a horrible thought, right?? Ebooks are great, but it would be devastating if they ever actually took the place of a real book. My nephew and I trade books a lot and I always make an effort to get him a REAL one :)Happy Friday.

  9. I totally agree!! I try and support indie and libraries by buying or checking out books whenever I can! I am a paperback buddy as well and I work for a bookstore so I like having a book in the physical world vs. the digital world.

  10. :D I prefer the ebooks, but I definitely make good use of my library. We have a great YA selection so I'm so fortunate!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  13. I'm always for the printed version of a book. Digital books have much more of a chance of suddenly disappearing into "thin air" than what print copies do. Trust me, it's happened to me. It just confirmed for me that I hate ebooks with a passion, lol.

I mean I'll read them if I can and if the story sounds really good, but I won't spend actual money on an ebook, I just go after the kindle freebies. That way, if they suddenly vanish I didn't actually loose anything, lol.
