At this stop, I'll be hosting the Summer Vacations Challenge! Just tell me your ideal vacation inside of a certain book!
This automatically popped inside of my head right when I read the challenge. Not very unique but eh... who in the world would not love to visit Hogwarts for vacation!
Also, I just finished reading this book a couple days ago and loved it! Look at the background on the cover... I would love to visit that beautiful place as well!
OOOH! First comment! I totally agree that even though (sadly) Hogwarts doesn't exist (don't worry Universal Studies Orlando has the next best thing)it would be really awesome to attend and experience the magic. Nice choice!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Hogwarts too :D I actually visited Harry Potter Land a few years ago, and it was soo crowded, but so amazing! Thanks for the giveaway - the cover is adorable!
ReplyDeleteMan you don't know how many times I wished Hogwarts was real instead of college! lol

I would love to go to Crossroads and into the "city of angels" (i forget the name). From Crossroads series by Mary Ting. It sounds beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, I like the cover!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In A Ship Of Her Own Making by Catherynne Valente. I would LOVE to vacation to Fairyland, specifically its capitol, Pandemonium.
ReplyDeleteI chose the world of Yuu Watase's manga Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play.

I think I'd like to go into the world of "The Selection" by Kiera Cass. It's weird because she's basically in the real life version of the bachelor but who doesn't want to compete to be the princess and have to boys fight for you love? I sure would!
ReplyDeleteGreat answer!

As a huge Jane Austen fan...I would love to visit British at that time in history. It would truly be a dream come true! Thanks for the challenge...I totally agree Hogwarts would be fantastic as well as would Egypt in the time of Cleopatra...I have a ton of biographies of her that really take me away to that time and place...so many great options when you start thinking about it!

I think if I could take any vacation to a book world it would be to Lyra's Oxford from the His Dark Materials series. Ever since I read that book I've just been fascinated with the idea of daemons and the setting. It would really make for an awesome vacation =D
ReplyDeleteOh I'd love to go to Hogwart's as well. I don't live in the US but I still wanted to do the challenge. Here's my response
ReplyDeleteHhhmm, I think somewhere where I can experience wearing a bustle / corset so I'd go for Victorian era like The Scarlet Pimpernel.
ReplyDeleteHogwarts rules.
ReplyDeleteI love Jane Green books. I've read a few of them and really enjoyed them.
I would definitely vacation to The Shire and live with some hobbits for awhile. It's so beautifully peaceful there (assuming we're talking either pre-Frodo adventure or post-Frodo adventure), and so quiet! It's just lovely and homey and I think it'd be a great place to live, even for a little while!
ReplyDeleteWhere would I go in a book. I would go to Sylvia Beach's Paris in the 1920's. There are tons of books about this time, but I just read Chasing Sylvia Beach by Cynthia Morris.
